The project manager is a key person at ForeignExchange. In this important role, you will have overall responsibility for supervising all phases of assigned projects, including:
- management of quality, costs and schedule
- interface and coordinate with sales, clients, linguistic, engineering and DTP team members
- provide input to presales planning, resourcing and estimating of projects
Our minimum requirements are:
- 1-3 years experience managing localization/translation projects
- Must be fluent in German; client communication will be mainly in German, both written and verbal
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented
- Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Understanding of major print and electronic publishing, as well as image manipulation tools and applications for different platforms
- Technical background preferred; understanding of Trados and other TM solutions preferred
- Strong leadership abilities
- Bachelor degree preferred
- Strong affinity for and understanding of target audiences and cultural issues
