Management Team

ForeignExchange Translations is led by a committed management team with a combined localization experience of over 60 years. Their goal is to inspire, challenge and work with the company’s excellent staff to achieve ForeignExchange’s vision of being the very best in medical translations.

Get to know ForeignExchange’s management team.

Andres Heuberger is President and founder of ForeignExchange Translations. A native of Switzerland, he has spent 16 years managing translations for drug and device companies.

Prior to founding ForeignExchange in 1998, Andres was Vice President of Sales at Harvard Translations. Previous to that role, Andres was Harvard Translations’ Vice President of Operations..

Andres draws on his extensive localization experience and regularly speaks at events for RAPS, STC, and Localization World, and writes for publications such as IVD Technology, Multilingual, Medical Product Outsourcing, Software Business, and European Medical Device Manufacturer.

Barbara Peralta is Vice President of Operations at ForeignExchange Translations. She is responsible for supporting sales and operations with custom solutions for our clients. This may range from integration of new technology to the definition and implementation of new processes. In addition, she is responsible for our Technical Services team and the Account Management team. She has been with ForeignExchange Translations since June 2006.

Barbara has spent the past 18 years working within the localization field, starting out as a project manager and taking on progressively more demanding roles, including at one point, managing a localization production group of 200 people. She has served as a business unit manager, account manager, and site manager in the localization services industry.

Sonia is Executive Vice President of Quality at ForeignExchange. She is a Six Sigma Black Belt and has oversight of ForeignExchange's quality systems.

Sonia is an industry veteran of 15 years, with an extensive background in the medical localization sector. Prior to joining ForeignExchange, Sonia worked in the localization industry in Project, Account, and Business Unit Management for a variety of localization companies in the past (Harvard Translations, International Language Engineering, International Communications, Lionbridge). Sonia holds a Bachelor of Arts in German from Middlebury College, and a Masters in Education from Lesley College.

Outside of work, Sonia spends her time with her family in the mountains, skiing, mountain biking, or hiking.

As Vice President of Sales, Mike is responsible for the overall direction of the company's sales activities, which include business development, account penetration, and client satisfaction. 

Mike is a seasoned veteran with over 25 years of Sales, Sales management, and Sales Training experience.  Prior to joining the company, Mike spent 9 years at Forrester Research in various Sales leadership positions which included Sales Management and Sales Training.  During his tenure at Forrester, Mike earned a strong reputation for hiring, developing, and retaining sales talent.  Prior to Forrester, Mike held regional sales management positions with IKON Document Services, Standard Register, and UARCO.

Drew Watson is the Manager of Project Services at ForeignExchange Translations, responsible for its project management staff and strategy.

A graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder with a B.A. in International Affairs, Drew began his career in localization project management 8 years ago.

He has been with ForeignExchange since early 2005.
