ForeignExchange representative to speak on Japanese regulatory affairs
ForeignExchange's Jason Heaton will be speaking at a Twin Cities regulatory conference on the topic of the Japanese Pharmaceutical Affairs Law (PAL). The Regulatory Affairs Professional Society (RAPS) Twin Cities chapter is sponsoring a morning of networking and expert presentation entitled, "Review and Resolve Challenges of Japan's PAL" on Thursday, May 21st. The event will be held at Medtronic's world headquarters in Minneapolis. Experts in the field of Japan regulatory affairs will be speaking on the unique challenges of getting products approved in Japan and staying compliant, as well as negotiating the cultural nuances of working with Japanese counterparts. Heuberger interviewed about translation and the economy
ForeignExchange president Andres Heuberger was recently interviewed for an article about businesses that are defying the current economic downturn. In an interview appearing in the Dallas News, Heuberger explains ForeignExchange's continued growth despite an economy that sees other businesses struggling. He says the key is his company's niche focus on medical translations and its client base in the pharmaceutical and medical device fields. These clients, he says, are less sensitive to price increases from the poor dollar-to-Euro exchange rate and are aggressively pursuing opportunities in global markets, where translation is necessary. Late CE marking portends IVD compliance bottleneck
Some 38% of IVD manufacturers who responded to a fourth-quarter 2002 survey on their readiness for the full implementation of the IVD Directive on December 7, 2003 have revealed that none of their products are CE marked. The Internet survey, carried out by US company ForeignExchange Translations, also showed that a further 20% of respondents had CE marked less than 50% of their products.
